I'm taking a page from Marabel Morgan's book: Got home early, brushed my teeth (she recommends twice), took a bath, and plan to greet my husband at the door (not wrapped in Saran Wrap, as she suggests; I have my limits). It sounds crazy, but really, her book is not so bad.

I think books like this are a real low point for self-help for women. The ultra-conservative message consists of teaching women how to please their man by the traditional methods of hyper-attention to grooming, being childish, and in general manipulating to get what you want instead of communicating like an adult. Sure, women get what they want this way, as they have for centuries, but it's a disempowered way of being in the world.
Sigh. Thumbs down.
